• Mamma Mia Celebrates UAE Day By Dishing Up Arabic And Italian Delicacies

Dubai celebrates 43 years of unity and success on December 2nd 2015 with the commencement of the 43rd annual UAE National Day. Mamma Mia, Dubai’s famous fusion eatery is set to commemorate in style with a host of authentic Arabic and mouth watering Mediterranean dishes.

Locals and tourists alike celebrate the hotly anticipated holiday with a range of pre-meditated events including a grand fireworks display overhead the Burj Al Arab. Enjoying seasonally good weather, guests are set to flock to the dynamic, international city to enjoy the 1 day festivities with many dragging out the enjoyment for several more days.

Nadia M’hamdi, General Manager of Mamma Mia said, “National day is one of the most exciting events in the Dubai calendar. Naturally locals get excited by it but many people come to Dubai at this time because there is a real sense of exhilaration and anticipation in the air. We’ve been serving up platefuls of delicious Italian and Arabic fare for guests on this special day for years and that’s set to continue this year. Although we are very proud of our Italian feasts, seeing as it is National day, it’s the perfect time to be patriotic and explore the aromas and tastes of our authentic Arabic dishes.”

Diners can tuck into a plethora of traditional Middle Eastern favourites enthused with a contemporary twist. The hungry masses can opt for hummus and spiced meat for an interesting collaboration of succulence and crispiness with the spiced meat lessened with a generous heaping of cooling hummus. Tabouleh is another contemporary favourite fashioned from mint, finely chopped onion, lemon juice, olive oil and parsley and expertly blended to create a burst of fresh flavours.

With starters including a range of soups, Khyar Bi Laban, a cucumber and mint yogurt salad, spicy jalapenos hummus and a cold mezze selection consisting of pita breads assembled with feta, olives, tabouleh and homemade hummus, hungry diners are spoilt for choice. For the main, guests can broaden their taste buds with any option from the Arabic charcoal grill which can be served alongside fresh from the oven pita bread, French fries, garlic dips and cucumber yogurts. To complete the meal, a range of sweet desserts, ice cream, fruits, smoothies and real fruit juices are available.

For those who prefer a Mediterranean medley of vine ripe tomatoes, tangy cheese and generous heapings of expertly combined ingredients, Mamma Mia also serve 24 different pizza styles including the Mamma Mia Meat Feast, Anchovy Attack, Mamma Mexicano and the option to build your own pizza.

Nadia added, “Whether our guests select Arabic fare or Italian eats, we are happy to provide both, cooked up by our highly talented team of chefs. We want everyone to celebrate UAE day with us in a truly memorable way with good food, delicious drinks and great company.”
