• Emirati Executives Trained For Success At Noor Bank

    In line with Noor Bank’s commitment to Emiratisation, the bank has announced the introduction of its ‘Coaching and Mentoring Development Programme’ for UAE nationals.

    The programme, in association with the Action In Business International group (ABI), is aimed at providing Emiratis with training on leadership development and growth to prepare them for senior management positions in the bank.

    Hussain Al Qemzi, CEO of Noor Bank, said: “As a UAE national myself, I am passionate about inspiring and empowering my fellow countrymen and women, by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill their potential and make a significant contribution to the nation’s economic prosperity and the success of the banking sector in particular.

    “This programme is the latest in a number of initiatives we have undertaken to develop a strong core of national leaders who are helping to drive our growth and will contribute to the success of the bank in impactful ways in the years ahead.”

    As a part of the programme, Noor Bank will select a number of high potential Emirati employees who will undergo psychometric testing and individual coaching sessions over six months through tailored programmes. During this time selected nationals will undergo initial profiling sessions which would indicate the fundamental thinking processes of the individual, and the personal and professional choices made by the concerned individual. Subsequent sessions would be a series of one-to-one coaching sessions, building on the employees’ profiles and the goals of individual employees. There will also be group sessions as part of the programme. These sessions would focus on achieving practical measurable objectives that support their overall growth.

    Noor Bank has prioritised Emiratisation initiatives and training since its launch in 2008, ensuring Emiratis have the opportunity to develop and grow in the financial sector. UAE nationals account for 40% of Noor Bank’s workforce. The bank has policies in place to support the national talent pool by creating teams of Emiratis in senior positions and specialised areas within the bank.
