• Dubai Culture Hosts 'Open Day' To Recruit Emiratis

    The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, is expanding its workforce to make way for Emiratis to join the Authority in its mission towards highlighting the city’s creative industries in the run up to the Expo 2020.

    Dubai Culture will host an ‘Open Day’ on June 21, 2014, at the InterContinental Hotel – Dubai Festival City, for Emiratis to scoop a number of opportunities in the Authority across a variety of departments.

    Potential recruits can choose to work across a number of departments including: Dubai Public Library; museums and heritage sites; fine arts; performing arts; finance; strategy; marketing and communication; information technology; tour guides at the heritage sites; the Arabic language and calligraphy; projects and events; music; theatre; cinema; auditing and financial management; legal consulting; HR; and training and performance, among others.

    Khalid Al Doobi, Director of Human Resources, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai has envisioned that the Dubai Expo 2020 will undoubtedly be the best that the world has ever seen; and keeping that in mind, through the ‘Open Day,’ we are looking to strengthen our cultural workforce by attracting the brightest creative talent to play an integral role in spearheading our growth over the next few years.
