• Atlantis, The Palm Enhances Five Star Guest Experience With Mobile Devices Managed By Airwatch

Atlantis, The Palm, the Middle East's premier entertainment resort destination, has successfully deployed an enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution from AirWatch by VMware, the leading EMM provider. Going mobile has enabled the luxury resort to transform its operations and implement a bring your own device (BYOD) initiative to streamline internal processes and enhance the five star travel experience for its guests.

Guided by EMW, a smart convergence expert and leading supplier of ICT services and products in the Middle East, Atlantis, The Palm selected AirWatch as its EMM provider. “The primary driver for implementing AirWatch was the need to streamline operations within our extensive housekeeping department,” says Joe Tesfai, senior vice president, information technology, Atlantis, The Palm. “We saw the potential to drastically improve efficiencies and create significant cost savings through AirWatch. The solution offers a reliable EMM platform that enables device administration from a single location.”

With AirWatch, Atlantis, The Palm can now deliver a host of new services to elevate the experience of its guests, such as using mobile devices to access reservation details, expedite the check-in process and streamline housekeeping tasks. The luxury hotel, which has earned a reputation for providing excellent service, uses iPods to assign staff members to clean rooms based on factors like availability and special requests from guests. Additionally, the resort is evaluating using digital menus on tablets instead of printed menus so that items can be dynamically updated.

The resort’s entire mobile fleet, which includes 150 iPods and approximately 800 other mobile devices, is secured and managed by AirWatch. The BYOD program allows employees to connect to the network to receive corporate email and securely access the Internet, which has increased efficiencies and improved productivity throughout the organization.

“We’ve dedicated significant resources to create the broadest platform and depth of expertise to empower resorts like Atlantis, The Palm to meet the challenges of the hospitality industry and provide an unmatched level of service to their guests,” says John Marshall, senior vice president and general manager, AirWatch by VMware. “The AirWatch platform enables hospitality organizations to transform the traditional service model by mobilizing housekeeping staff, restaurant servers and management
