• Dubai FDI Helps UK-Based Mortgage Solutions Provider Expand To The Region

Dubai FDI, the foreign investment promotion agency in the Department of Economic Development (DED), in partnership with the Austria Business Centre (ABC), has brought in a leading mortgage solutions provider to Dubai, adding further to the expanding services portfolio of Dubai.

As a licensed mortgage broker in Dubai, UK-based MENA Mortgage Services will provide expert counsel and mortgage solutions to buyers looking to leverage the new optimism visible across the emirate’s real estate sector. The company is led by mortgage brokers who have extensive experience in local real estate and market trends.

Fahad Al Gergawi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai FDI, remarked that the new direction of economic development in Dubai called for varied services and solutions in the property market. “With Dubai increasingly favoured as the place to live and do business and the Expo 2020 offering varied opportunities the local real estate sector is gaining further traction. As a flourishing hub seamlessly connected to the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, residents and non-residents alike will be keen on investing in real estate in Dubai,” said Al Gergawi.

“Qualified firms like MENA Mortgage Services adds further value to Dubai’s property market in addition to accelerating the emirate’s diversification into a services hub from its traditional strengths in trading, tourism and logistics,” added Al Gergawi.

MENA Mortgage Services represent 29 lenders offering competitive mortgage options. The company also guides investors through the buying process and new regulations brought in by local and federal authorities to enhance property value and ensure best practices in the sector.

“MENA Mortgage Services is committed to bringing the best personal experience to anyone in Dubai or around the world wishing to buy any property for any purpose at any value through integrity, flawless execution and quality. The business employed Austria Business Centre to establish its presence in the Middle East as it was found that the two firms share the same ethos and commitment to transparent business in the UAE,” commented Jonathan Oliver, Consultant, MENA Mortgage Services.

A global network of state-of-the-art business centres offering flexible start-up solutions, the Austria Business Center has been working with Dubai FDI since 2010 helping a growing number of Austrian firms set up in Dubai and target high growth markets.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Dubai FDI and providing a professional platform for companies like MENA Mortgage Services to establish their businesses in Dubai and at the same time increase our levels of expertise and service offering in the region. Besides assisting companies overseas to establish their presence in Dubai, we also strive to provide our clients with the perfect networking opportunities,” said Josef Kleindienst, CEO Austria Business Centre.

“For instance, we connect Austria Business Centre tenant companies for mutually beneficial outcomes, and thus we introduced Mena Mortgages to our in-house tenant company JK Properties Real Estate at an early stage. Today, Mena Mortgages are the preferred mortgage advisors to JK Properties clientele, and the list goes on,” sited Kleindienst.

Between 2011 and 2013 Dubai FDI has assisted 469 companies, mainly from the services, trading, manufacturing, hospitality & tourism and oil &gas sectors, to set up in Dubai. Together these companies have brought in AED 9.56 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) to Dubai.
