• The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) Looks Onto 2014 With The Vision To Provide More Patient Cantered Services

    The Senior Management of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) recently held its annual strategic retreat last weekend to begin the strategic planning cycle for 2014,

    Mr.Rashid Al Qubaisi, MD Office- SEHA, Carl Stanifer, Group CEO, as well as CEOs and Seniors of SEHA’s Facilities along with senior officials of its headquarters participated in the meeting.

    During the meeting, Al-Qubaisi said, "leveraging SEHA’s comprehensive network of hospitals and clinics, our strategy is to provide an integrated health system for the community, in accordance with the highest international standards and in line with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. This requires planning and commitment from all the senior management of SEHA and its healthcare facilities." He said, "This is a natural progression of our maturing organisation as we move from third party management of our hospitals to delivering an integrated model of clinical services, tailored specifically to the population base with focus of service lines at major centeres, to help ensure the highest levels of quality of care and best possible outcomes for patients while promoting the health of people and residents of Abu Dhabi."

    He added, "The purpose of this meeting is to make sure that all senior managers of the company and its hospitals and clinics understand their roles in aligning themselves and their staff to the operational priorities of the SEHA Health System , guided by SEHA slogan “One Team, One Voice, One Future’."

    Al Qubaisi, stressed that the plan aims to enhance the importance of a patient-centred approach at all SEHA facilities hence to improve customer service and productivity in its healthcare centres. He said, "The Company is reviewing all issues that affect the caregivers’ performance and patient satisfaction.

    The meeting emphasised the importance of the service line approach to an integrated health services strategy, already adopted and in implementation as SEHA shifts its healthcare delivery strategy across its healthcare network to focus on population based service delivery and needs through centres of excellence within its health system.

    The programme facilitated specialised workshops and brainstorming sessions aimed at generating novel ideas for the growth and development of SEHA’s medical facilities and services. Focussed discussions on its integrated specialised services explored opportunities foreseen in the year ahead for the implementation of such strategies.

    The strategic outlook on the year also takes into account the need to increase productivity within all SEHA facilities to become self-sufficient on a financial level. Conference attendees had the opportunity to review projects and health programmes that had already been implemented in this respect and those that are scheduled for this year. Healthcare sanitation facilities for patients was another pertinent topic on the agenda.

    The goal of all SEHA strategies is to continually improve healthcare services to meet international healthcare standards and achieve its vision of world-class healthcare for its patients and communities served
