• Al Sha far Urges Sharjah Residency

    Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, called upon the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah’s staff members to ensure easy and speedy completion of citizens’ transactions to in order to facilitate procedures.

    At the same time, Al Sha’farurged Al Sharjah Civil Defense to implement development plans for a number of its basic services in order to facilitate their responses and reduce the amount of damage fire incidentscause.

    On Wednesday, Al Sha’far was briefed on the workflows and the services provided by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and Civil Defense in Sharjah. At the Residency Department, he was briefed on the process of receiving people’s complaints, their requests, and how those requests are completed. He reviewed the services in the presence of Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah bin Sahoo, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah.

    During a meeting held at the department, he examined the future projects that will be implemented in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategies that aim to improve the police force’swork. He also went on an inspection tour of the Al Sharjah Residency Department to review the workflows and procedures.

    Moreover, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior called upon the SharjahCivil Defense Department to implement development plans for their basic services, especially human services, in order to reduce the amount of fires and the losses of property that they cause. He also urged them to focus on training in order to enhance the scientific and professional qualificationsof theirstaff members.

    It is worth mentioning that Al Sha’far had examined the Al Sharjah Civil Defense Department and examinedthe equipment and devices thatare used during the firefighting and rescue missions in the presence ofBrigadier Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of Al Sharjah Civil Defense. The Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior was briefed on workflows at the various sections, branches, and centers at the Department, in addition to the speed of response in the event of disasters and coordination and cooperation between the police entities during the various incidents that occur.

    Concluding, Al Sha’far stressed the need to strengthen and develop prevention, safety, and control services in all buildings, including high-rise buildings, as a key indicator of the development of the civil defense team’s services’ and as an important factor in providing a secure environment for the public.
