• Elantra Records 90% Increase In Sales

Hyundai’s Elantra registered the highest number of sales in November. Juma Al Majid, the sole distributor of Hyundai Motor in the UAE reported; Elantra has achieved a staggering 90% more sales when compared to same period last year.

Behind the success in Elantra sales is Hyundai’s aggressive marketing campaign, which was launched last November. This promotion has seen Elantra sales forming a 43% of the total sales during the month. A central feature of the campaign was cash discounts offered on the model with a starting price of AED 49,900.

“The Elantra promotional campaign is undoubtedly our biggest marketing success story to date. We were able to tie considerable cash incentives into a message about the vehicle’s performance, economy, luxury, style and value for money. It is a marketing imperative for us to design campaigns that exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Khaldon Abdul Hafiz, Marketing Manager for Hyundai UAE.

Khaldon continued: “Because of the campaign’s clear success, which has led to such a high demand for the Elantra in Hyundai showrooms across UAE, we have extended the marketing campaign till the end of December. However, the demand is huge for this campaign and we do only have a small number of units left, so I would advise anyone who is interested to visit their nearest Hyundai showroom immediately”

The Hyundai Elantra is proving one of the company’s most popular vehicles, with the model occupying third place in sales among Hyundai range. The car topped media headlines last year and was awarded the best in its category in North America during the International Auto Show in Detroit in 2012, excelling in the criteria of innovation, design, safety, performance and technology. It was cited by jury of 50 independent automotive journalists, voting for its low price and high, beating all rivals for the annual honor.

The Elantra is powered by 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre, four cylinder engines that produces 148 HP. Thanks to clean technology and advanced engineering; the car is classified as economical, according to fuel consumption standards set by specialized agencies on the principles and criteria adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency.
