Al Ameri indicated that the directorate has distributed awareness-raising publications about road safety for bikers during the rally. The publications included biking safety tips and security requirements, namely the need to wear a protective helmet to avoid serious injuries. Al Ameri urged the bikers to wear padded riding pants that protect from the motor’s heat. “It is also important to conduct a thorough inspection of the bike, to check engine oil, and the good condition of the front and rear brakes, lights, transmission gearing and tires to avoid malfunctions during use,” indicated Al Ameri.
