• Musanada Completes Phase I Of Al Ghayathi Housing Project

    World-class Residential Community Encompasses 786 Houses Worth Dh1.145 Billion For UAE Nationals

    The Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al-Fahed Al-Mehairi recently announced in a statement that Musanada has completed all construction works related to the Al Ghayathi Housing Project – Phase I, which is located in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. The 181 villa project is now completed and ready for delivery to the concerned authorities during the current month. The 605 villas of Phase II are expected to be delivered in May 2014.

    He stated: “The implementation of Al Ghayathi Housing Project comes within the framework of the plans and programmes for the improvement and development of the Western Region, which receives a great attention and continued support from His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It has also received the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Both Their Highnesses attach a special attention to the housing sector in the UAE, considering that the growth of this sector is one of the manifestations of the economic and social development and the well-being enjoyed by UAE citizens.”

    “Likewise, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative of the Western Region, is keen to pursue Al Ghayathi Housing Project step-by-step, as the project is of great interest to him. Sheikh Hamdan inspects the site from time-to-time in order to examine the project’s progress and to ensure that it is being implemented in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, which is keen to provide appropriate housing for UAE nationals. Our leadership constantly stresses the importance of exploring projects that achieve prosperity for UAE citizens,” continued Al-Mehairi.

    He added: “Al Ghayathi Housing Project will contribute to the development of the area, as well as the surrounding areas. It will also create job opportunities for the area’s residents through services required by the project during or after implementation.”

    Al-Mehairi further noted that the project aims to provide better living standards for UAE nationals. Musanada is committed to providing ongoing support to the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, through the creation of residential complexes of a world-class level, which comply with the best international standards.

    On this occasion, his Excellency Mohamed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, Acting Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in the Western Region and Director General of the Western Region Development Council said: “We strive to provide maximum support to all development projects in the region, intended to elevate the living standards of the residents and boost the overall development and growth of the area”. His Excellency added: “Al Ghayathi housing project comes in line with our wise leadership’s directives and interest in Al Gharbia, represented by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, to support the area and achieve sustainable development across all sectors”.

    Eng. Ali Al-Haj Al-Mehairbi, Executive Director of Buildings and Project Management Services at the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) of the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), stated: “The villas in Al Ghayathi Housing Project were designed in accordance with the highest international standards. The design took into consideration meeting the needs of Emirati families in terms of capacity and multiplicity of rooms, as well as the external patio area. The infrastructure of the project was set up in accordance with the highest international standards which meet the needs and necessities of the modern life, which the wise leadership of the UAE is keen to provide for UAE nationals.”

    Al-Mehairbi added: “The total area of the project is 285 hectares and work began in August 2012, the ultimate cost of the project being AED 1.145 billion. The total construction area of each housing unit is 538 square metres. Each villa consists of two floors, comprising 5 master bedrooms, several Majlis for both men and women, in addition to other fundamental services.”

    He explained that the villas in the project meets the required health, recreational and aesthetic conditions. Villas also meet the needs of Emirati families in terms of capacity and multiplicity of rooms and Majlis, and the service facilities were furnished with best equipment.

    The outline of the Al Ghayathi Housing Project includes a complex of schools, Phase I of which has been already completed. This is in addition to the new Al Ghayathi City Community Hospital, which is currently being constructed, as well as three mosques, a shopping mall, and a sports centre.

    The project also includes power stations, an irrigation station, a sewerage plant, a road network, and street lighting, all of which have been completed under the supervision and management of Musanada. In addition, work on nine green spaces begins imminently, after the completion of the ongoing construction work on the housing units. This will be coordinated between Musanada and the Western Region Municipality.
