Who Will Be The Last Team Standing At Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabis Survival Of The Fittest Challenge?

Waterpark gets ready for an afternoon of jousting, racing, swimming and more in a fun group challenge to hit the capital this summer

Adrenaline junkies from across the UAE are getting set for an exciting afternoon of jousting, races, competitive eating, paddling, puzzles and more – all in the aim of claiming the top spot at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi’s much anticipated “Survival of the Fittest” Challenge.

The competition, which takes place on June 29th at 3:00pm, will feature 12 teams from colleges, universities and clubs from across the UAE, as well as entrants from radio competitions and Facebook fans, who will go head to head in a series of challenges that will be as fun to take part in as they are to watch.

Each 4-member team will participate in various elimination challenges – ranging from having to throw more than 2,000 “pearls” into a bucket in the Amwaj Pearl Rescue, to paddling a two-man tube across a set route, a joust-off atop paddle boards and a pizza-eating and giant slushie-slurping competition that is guaranteed to separate the men from the boys. The final task will involve a swim to retrieve a giant puzzle, with the team that’s able to put all the pieces together walking away with the title.

All 48 participants will enjoy free access to the Park’s 43 rides, slides and attractions on the day that the “Survival of the Fittest” challenge takes places, with their supporters and cheerleaders getting discounted entry to the Park.

“We have got a remarkable response to the call out for this competition with many of the teams coming up with really fun names and costumes – it’s going to be a hugely entertaining spectacle,” says Mike Oswald, Park Manager, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi.

“The participating teams have some great prizes in store and the whole nature of the challenge makes it fun not just for the people taking part but for everyone watching. It’s like having a reality TV show come to life with all the elements of anticipation, fun team rivalry, action-packed tasks and a big winner at the end,” added Oswald.

The winning team will bag Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi annual passes, free flowboarding coaching from a pro, a one-night’s stay at Yas Viceroy Hotel, free entry passes to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and the Yas Links Golf Course, Adventure HQ vouchers and lots more.
