Dubai Duty Free Announced The 154th Dollar Millionaire In The Millennium Millionaire Promotion

As the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion continues to evolve capturing the imagination of travellers around the globe, the draw for 154th Millennium Millionaire took place today (Tuesday) in Concourse C, Dubai International Airport, producing the latest dollar millionaire, a thirty-three-year-old Pakistani national, Mohammad Shahid.

Mr. Shahid, a jewelry businessman from Sharjah was in shock when he heard that his lucky ticket no. 3155 has won him US$1 million. Commenting on the news the winner said: ‘I’ve been waiting for this call from Dubai Duty Free for years since I started participating in the Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions. This is the most exciting day in my life and I’m looking forward to visiting Dubai Duty Free to meet the team who made this happen!”

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, Dubai Duty Free presented a US$1 million dollar cheque to a previous Millennium Millionaire winner, Mr. Richard Edwin Mendonca who won his prize in Series 153 with ticket no. 0026 a few weeks earlier. An Indian national living in Dubai, Mr. Mendonca is a regular participant of the Millennium Millionaire promotion. The lucky winner was accompanied by his friend Ashton Cedric D’Souza who was equally excited about his friend’s win.

Commenting on receiving the cheque, the lucky winner said: ‘I’m delighted to visit Dubai Duty Free for such a wonderful occasion. It is my first time to win anything in my life and I’m extremely happy about it. Dubai Duty Free is indeed full of surprises and I would like to wish the company prosperous years ahead!’

Following the Millennium Millionaire, Dubai Duty Free conducted the Finest Surprise draw and announced the winner of a Ducati Superbike 848 EVO in Series 222. The lucky ticket no. 0079 belonged to Mr. Eisa Hamad Khalifa Saif, a thirty-seven-year-old UAE national from Sharjah.
