• Pantry Cafe Celebrates First Month Of Trading And Unveils Future Expansion Plans

Neighbourhood Cafe has brought a commitment to quality produce and a cozy ’New York’ vibe to Wasl Square

Pantry Café, the upscale Jumeirah eatery that combines a culinary experience with a strong sense of community and belonging, marks its successful first month of trading. In just one short month this home grown café and delicatessen concept has demonstrated a commitment to bringing good quality food using the freshest ingredients to the Jumeirah neighbourhood. Located in the prestigious Wasl Square in the heart of Dubai’s best-established neighbourhoods, Pantry Café offers a homely and cozy space that also manages to offer a New York edge with its stripped walls and pared back design. Over the past month the focus has been on showcasing the full range of menu items, each designed to be good, flavourful, sustaining and international in feel. At this time the management, Retail & Beyond Commercial Investment LLC also announces expansion plans in the UAE.

The secret of this early success can be attributed to the fact that Pantry Cafe invites its neighbours and food enthusiasts to revel in a full gourmet experience, from café, delicatessen and retail elements and ensures that they keep coming back to try out all the items on offer in an exciting menu that will satiate the most discerning connoisseurs! The quality of the food stems from the freshness and purity of the ingredients, each sourced locally through carefully selected distributors. All of Pantry Café’s in-house ingredients such as ketchup, jams, butter, oils are of the highest quality and the eggs, herbs and vegetables are organic. The house-blend organic coffee is single-origin, sourced from Bolivian beans – which have been highly prized by coffee lovers. In the launch month one of the most popular dishes to try has been the Wagyu burger, made from the purest meat, while the pizzas, crafted from Caputo flour, San Marzano tomatoes and baked on site in Pantry’s wood-fired oven by a Neapolitan chef have also been hotly in demand.

Of the success of the opening, Mahesh Kalwani, Chairperson, Pantry Café comments,
“We have been delighted with the response so far. We have had an excellent turn-out of customers and have had many regular patrons coming to our place. This initial response in what we know to be a highly competitive market has encouraged us to consider further expansion to bring the Pantry Café ethos to more neighborhoods.”

The café is looking to expand into more prime neighbourhoods and locations that offer a similar vibe. Pantry Café aims to become an everyday favourite neighbourhood café that will be well-known all over the Emirates by opening at least five restaurants over the next few years.

Pantry Café is a locally born concept, and not a franchise, giving it the flexibility to create its own space, décor and fit-outs – giving the restaurant a very personal touch. The interior space can be described as warm and inviting, and at the same time trendy and upbeat.
