• Offbeat Tours Commences Operations In Full Swing From UAE

The Newly Launched Tour Company Embarks on Arranging Complete Security and Boarding on Offbeat Tourist Tracks

Offbeat Tours, a tour company introducing a totally new concept of travel and tourism, launches in the UAE after 2 years of research, planning, exploration, and team building. The Dubai based company was started by David Butler, aviation professional and constant voyager.

Offbeat Tours commences operations with full-board trips to an array of thrilling destinations that most tour companies do not dare to reach. The company is willing to target adventurous individuals who would live a real travel experience and go beyond regular luxury travel and tourism. This concept draws its inspiration from the travellers of old, renowned for their zest for visiting new places and learning from the various adventures encountered along the way.

In the spirit of this ideology, rather than offering an escape to luxury resorts, Offbeat Tours is launching its services with key destinations that promise to provide an enriching opportunity to discover vital cities, where tomorrow’s history is being made today. These tracks own magnificent scenic nature in addition to a diversified culture and controversial history, stemming from various civilizations that have settled on, or even passed through, them. The initial itineraries will focus on Yemen, Afghanistan and Kurdish Iraq.

The company is ready to offer its first tour to “Yemen Sana’a and its surrounding regions”. The tour is tailored for curious travellers who want to discover the territory with complete security and safety. The five day and four night tour to Yemen will include Sana’a city tour, Dar Al Hajar, Kawkaban, Manakah, and Al Hajarrah. The tour will give a comprehensive image of the city. It will include visiting the centre of the modern city, the old city, the traditional busy markets, the mosques and sacred areas, the countryside villages, the ancient ruins, the fortresses with distinctive regional architecture and the beautiful mountainous nature.

The tour is eye opening and educational. Hence, travellers will be able to interact with local people, eat delicious local dishes, play Yemeni traditional music and watch Yemeni dances, including the famous Barra Dance (dance with knives). The tour will give the opportunity for travellers to walk along the terraces of Qat and coffee plantations in some villages, and chatting with the local people working in the fields.

Offbeat Tours considers the safety and security of every traveller to be of paramount importance. The company will be applying its tours in collaboration with police and logistics bodies to keep travellers away from any risk or danger. Offbeat Tours founded on-ground teams of expert tour guides and professional drivers and tied up with agents and local administrative bodies in each country of the travel destinations. The company’s local teams are fully aware of the security situation and will keep travellers updated. All guides speak English and the language of the country they’re in.

Commenting on the launch, David Butler, Managing Director of Offbeat Tours said, “Being a pilot for most of my life, my passion is travel. Therefore, I always wanted to make those off-the-limit tours possible for the curious adventurers. I believe it is important to visit these countries to gain insights into what’s happening in our world today, and change the negative image of being conflicts hubs, that are associated with many of these countries”. He added, “We also have the advantage of location. Dubai is extremely accessible to most parts of the world and a hub for the travel industry. Dubai provides the ideal platform to take a concept like this forward. I am extremely excited to start and am confident that these journeys will attract the young and old.”

Other destinations to be provided by Offbeat Tours in the next few months include, but are not limited to, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Armenia. Food, Beverage, transportation and accommodation are inclusive of any trip’s program. Costs vary based on the country visited and the length of the tour.
