Dubai Ladies Club Announces Exciting Agenda For Wellness Day On Saturday, 2nd March

4th Wellness Day will mark International Women’s Day; Event highlights includes complimentary health consultations and Kids Wellness Zone; Entry is complimentary to all ladies

Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, will be celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day by drawing attention to women’s health for a productive and happy life at the 4th annual Dubai Ladies Club Wellness Day on Saturday, March 2 from 9.00am until sundown. Entry to the event is complementary and open to ladies only. Joining the event as Strategic Partner is Infiniti Automobiles and Emirates Airlines at the Official Carrier for the event. Wellness Walk is sponsored by VLCC and Kids Zone is sponsored by Abbott Nutrition and Yasmeen Talent Center.

On the occasion, Muna Bin Kalli, Executive Director of Dubai Ladies Club said, “Our vision behind Wellness Day is to see women living well – healthy, empowered and equal. Today, I am pleased to note that Wellness Day at Dubai Ladies Club serves as a crucial platform for Women’s Health and a forum to stimulate discussions on women’s health, and learn about the latest developments health, nutrition and fitness, which are the key components of a healthy lifestyle.”

Commenting on the agenda for the day, Muna Bin Kalli, Executive Director of Dubai Ladies Club said, “With over 20 complimentary fitness classes, 12 free health assessments, 7 children’s creative and wellness activities, we have an very exciting day planned that will combine fun and health awareness to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.”

Among others Wellness Day with feature an extraordinary Wellness Walk - sponsored by VLCC – will offer complimentary health screenings to all visitors which include slimming and weight loss consultations by VLCC plus hair & skin tests, spinal alignment assessments, dental check ups, mammogram screening for breast cancer by Red Crescent and many more. Emirates Family Network will also be available to share information from their ADHD awareness campaign.

Moreover, for a second year, Kids Wellness Zone – sponsored by Abbotts Nutrition and Yasmeen Talent Center - will educate young children about healthy living and making good food choices through a variety of children-focused activities and services. The all day program will Art & Painting competition, aerobics, classical ballet, hip-hop & ballroom dance classes as well as a musical concert by students and teachers from Yasmeen Talent Center.

However, one of the key highlights of the day has been organised by Infiniti Automobiles, Strategic Partners of Wellness Day 2013, who will be providing test drives for their recently launched Infiniti FX37. Amongst the cars available for test drives will be Infiniti JX, EX, FX and QX.

Commenting in their partnership, Hussam Baghdadi, Deputy General Manager of Arabian Automobiles, the exclusive distributor Infiniti in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, said, “Women are often the decision makers in a family when it comes to nutrition and food habits, and hence the Dubai Wellness Day is a great initiative to raise awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle among key influencers. Guests will also be automatically entered into a raffle draw comprising of spectacular prizes. This event is free for all ladies - Club members and non-members - and is open to women and children only.

Since its inception in 2003, Dubai Ladies Club has consistently worked towards improving the quality of life of Emirati and expatriate women living in the UAE through in-house events, facilities and pilot projects. The events span the fields of art, culture, fitness and educational seminars. The primary objective of Wellness Day is to provide all women in Dubai with the opportunity to try new fitness activities, products and health related services entirely cost free, with the view to encourage participation and healthy living on a long term basis.
