Ministry Of Economy And Majid Al Futtaim Ventures Launch Special Fashion And Entertainment Offers For Students In The UAE

The Ministry of Economy and Majid Al Futtaim Ventures have formed a joint initiative to offer special leisure and entertainment rates for students from schools and universities across the UAE. Students will benefit from a variety of exclusive value-added deals at some of the UAE’s most popular leisure destinations, including VOX Cinemas, Ski Dubai and Playnation, in addition to savings on a range of ‘on-trend’ fashion brands.

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, said that the Ministry is keen to take care of the community and its various segments, especially university and school students. He said it is important to provide them with positive entertainment activities after they complete their daily study-related tasks. This initiative was launched in collaboration and partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Ventures to provide competitive prices for a selection of top-ranging entertainment brands in the UAE and abroad.

This is a strategic partnership that brings together the Ministry of Economy and the private sector institutions as part of the Ministry’s efforts to involve the private sector in sustainable development initiatives.

Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Ventures, said, “The Ministry of The Economy and Majid Al Futtaim Ventures understand the pressures and challenges of today’s youth and have teamed up to offer a number of value deals for students to reward them for their efforts in their studies. As a result of this initiative, students can now watch the latest blockbuster movies at a discounted rate of AED30 for VIP seats, a saving of 25% on weekdays. They will also receive popcorn and coke upgrade to the larger size with any of the special combos. Majority of VOX Cinema theatres feature luxurious VIP seating and all their 61screens are enabled with digital effects. The student offer will cover all 2D movie releases as well as alternative forms of entertainment such as live concerts and sporting events. Several high profile concerts are also planned in the coming months, giving students a great opportunity to enjoy unique entertainment at their favourite VOX Cinema.

Students can also choose to spend their after-school hours with a 15% discount in Ski Dubai and PlayNation between 2 pm and 7pm during weekdays and before 2 pm on weekends. Offering a range of activities, from Training Academy in Soccer Circus Dubai, to a friendly game at Yalla! Bowling, or a more thrilling escape at Ski Dubai, Majid Al Futtaim Leisure & Entertainment hopes to offer affordable experience for students to enjoy some quality time with each other after studies.

Students can also save on the latest fashion trends with a 15% discount at Juicy Couture, Jane Norman and Mexx stores in the UAE. All offers are valid between 2pm and 7pm on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday), and on Friday and Saturday before 2pm on presentation of a valid student identification card. The offers are subject to terms and conditions.
