• Hala Badri Presides Over MENA Cristal Festival Advertisers Grand Jury

    Hala Badri, Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, du, recently participated in the MENA Cristal Festival awards in Lebanon along with CEOs and Chairmen of various Middle East and North Africa enterprises and agencies, as president of the Advertisers Grand Jury co-chairing with Red Bull. Known for her expertise in her professional field, Hala was chosen to be the president and head the Jury panel that gave feedback for the improvement of the MENA Cristal Festival, at which she presented du as a client of Leo Burnett Dubai, and chaired a session in collaboration with representatives from Red Bull.

    Commenting on her participation, Hala said: “I would like to congratulate all of the winners at the MENA Cristal Festival. The level of entries was extremely high, which gives a very positive view of the communications industry in the region. It was an honour and a pleasure to have been invited to be the president of the Advertisers Grand Jury, and I would like to thank the MENA Cristal Festival organisers both for this exciting opportunity, and for creating such a well-organised event.”

    The Advertisers Grand Jury consists of clients who are recommended by agencies from around the MENA region. It is the jury’s responsibility to screen the Awards’ shortlisted entries from all categories, to vote for the winner of the Advertisers Grand Cristal, based on several criteria such as creativity, effectiveness & impact.

    In 2012, Hala participated as a member of the MENA Cristal Festival Advertisers Grand Jury for the first time and was invited to return in 2013.

    As the GEMAS Marketer of the Year for 2012 and the holder of several brand and communications-related accolades, Hala was ideally qualified to head/ co-chair the Advertisers Grand Jury at the MENA Cristal Festival 2013. Her work as the head of du’s Brand and Communications division has earned several awards for the telecom as well as having gained recognition for Hala herself, which led to her recent appointment to the Board of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), by the royal decree of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
