• Finals Tickets Up For Grabs

There will be action aplenty in and around the tennis stadium for the next fortnight, as a full schedule of competitions, activities and promotions make the Tennis Village in Garhoud the place to be.

“The quality of the field is superb, so the action on courts 1,2 and 3 for which entry is free will be world class” said Tournament Director Salah Tahlak. “Also there are still plenty of tickets left at the box office for the early rounds in both weeks to see centre court action. Tickets for the first three days are only 50dhs, and with a women’s field which features new world number one Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska, that will be 50dhs very well spent. Fans who purchase a ticket for those days also have a good chance to win finals tickets by entering the #WINDubaiTennis competition” he added.

Entry to the competition is easy, fans who purchase grandstand tickets for the first 3 days of each week can win by simply taking a photograph of themselves in the grandstand with their ticket or wristband for that day. If they tag it with #WINDubaiTennis and post the photograph on the tournament’s twitter, instagram or foursquare accounts they will enter the daily draw to win finals tickets. All details are available on the tournament’s facebook page, Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

The tournament will have a fun social program too with Ladies’ Day on Thursday 21 February, and FANtastic Fan Day on Thursday 28 February. Ladies are invited to come dressed to impress, enjoy special lunch offers and enter the parade at 5pm to win great prizes including finals tickets. On Fantastic Fan Day on Thursday 28 February everyone is encouraged to dress up in their most outrageous tennis fan outfit on to support their favourite players. Judging will take place at 6pm at the Dubai Duty Free shop in the Tennis Village, and the most enthusiastic fan will walk away with tickets to the men’s finals.

Every day during the tournament spectators in the grandstand can play “Catch and Win” as tennis balls are hit into the crowd before the evening matches. Every ball caught can be redeemed at the Dubai Duty Free Stand for great prizes from the sponsors.

Two lucky tennis fans will never forget the tennis this year as they drive away in magnificent Audis. The winner of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Surprise Draw will become the proud owner of a white Audi Q7 3.0, just by buying one of the 1000 tickets selling for 500dhs. Another lucky fan will win a fan the keys to a white 2013 Audi Q3 2.0. All it will take is paying 10dhs to guess the exact number of tennis balls in the car, which will be parked in the village during the tournament.

The Irish Village and restaurants in the Century Village will be buzzing for the fortnight, with roving live entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere with centre court action live on big screens. With 8 of the top ten women and six of the top ten men in action, every day will offer world class tennis, so a trip to the Dubai Tennis Stadium on any day of the week is guaranteed to be a great experience.

“We are really looking forward to the coming fortnight, with some spectacular tennis action on the courts every day and entertainment for everyone in the Tennis Village, it promises to be a wonderful tournament”, said Tahlak.

Beginning on 18th February, the greatest tennis show in the Middle East will feature not only Williams, Azarenka and Radwanska , but also former Grand Slam winners Petra Kvitova, Ana Ivanovic and Samantha Stosur, along with 2011 Dubai champion Caroline Wozniacki.
