• New Figures Show Emirates’ A380 Popularity

Attractive fares launched to all 21 A380 destinations

14 million passengers, or more than twice the population of Denmark, have experienced a flight on the Emirates’ A380, new figures show.

The 14 million travellers would also be enough to fill the Emirates Stadium – home of Arsenal - over 200 times.

The revolutionary double-decker was introduced into the Emirates’ fleet in August 2008 and has proved to be incredibly popular with customers.

Effective today, special fares are being launched for flights from Dubai to the airline’s 21 A380 destinations, further enticing travellers to experience the quietness and spaciousness of this giant, product-rich aircraft.

The A380 promotion, incorporating special “A380” fares in all classes, runs until 17th February for travel until 10th June 2013.

Economy Class tickets go from AED 1,380 to Jeddah, AED 2, 380 to London Heathrow and AED 3,380 to Hong Kong. *

    Other fare examples:

    · Munich from AED 2,380

    · Paris from AED 3,380

“Clearly our A380 is an extremely popular aircraft and these attractive fares to all destinations across all classes should enable even more people to enjoy the A380 experience,” said Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations – Gulf, Middle East & Iran.

Emirates currently has 31 A380s in service and is the largest A380 operator in the world, supported by Concourse A in Dubai, the world’s first purpose-built A380 concourse.

In other figures gathered since August 2008 until the end of the January 2013, Emirates’ A380s have conducted over 35,000 trips, spanning more than 200 million kilometres, touching down at 35 airports across the globe.

On the upper deck, First Class passengers can freshen up in one of two Onboard Shower Spas, while First and Business Class travellers can chat over a drink in the Onboard Lounge.

The airline takes the stress out of travel by offering generous baggage allowances; 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50kg in First Class.

Aside from the scheduled A380 destinations, the Emirates’ A380 has made one off visits to Athens, Hamburg, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Riyadh, San Francisco and Berlin.
