Dubai Shopping Festival Visitors Go On A Luxury Shopping Spree

In every edition of DSF, fashion aficionados find shopping in the emirates a fascinating and enriching experience. With the most luxurious brands in the world slashing their prices by 25% to 60% during DSF, shopping for high end items has indeed become a frenzy among visitors this DSF.

This season, savvy shoppers indulge in luxury shopping at the city’s most styling venues such as the Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall and the Fashion Dome at Mall of the Emirates. Shoppers also get to take home bags from Coach for only AED 1,200 this DSF. The luxury American brand, which is now proclaiming discounts of up to 50%, has started selling off their items on promotion since the start of DSF this year. With 25% to 40% discounts, Mulberry is also giving the best deals in its roster of “it” bags where its iconic Bayswater is sold for only AED 3,825 this DSF.

Shoppers can find an amazing selection of Gucci bags that are also for the taking with 30% off during this festival period. At Bottega Veneta, only two bags are left for sale with 40% discount. A lot of items have been already sold and what are left are the ostrich bag which now costs approximately AED 30,000 from AED 50,000, and a leather tote now being sold from about AED 17,000 to AED 10,000. The classic Yves Saint Laurent Muse bag is also available in great promotion as the high fashion label offers 30% off, making the bag up for grabs at AED 5,400.

Meanwhile, fashionistas who crave on stocking up more shoes in their closets should check the sale at Christian Dior. With 40% off of its Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collections, women can buy the adorable shoes imprinted with the fashion house’s signature style from AED 4000 or less. Those who are fanatics of Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite, Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo should also visit the shops during this DSF as these shoe designers give 30% to 50% discount in their present collections this DSF.

Men also take delight in shopping this season since they can update their wardrobe from Brioni, Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, Paul Smith, Alfred Dunhill and Corneliani without worrying too much on their budgets. These big brands are giving a 30% discount, allowing the men to go for stylish and polished ensembles. Ralph Lauren has also a wonderful selection of menswear that is offered in affordable prices. With about 30% off of the original prices, the long sleeves shirts are sold for AED 500 or less.

Furthermore, mall goers who are on the lookout for practical indulgence this DSF have the option to go for multi-brand stores such as Harvey Nichols and Boutique 1 at Mall of the Emirates, and Bloomingdale’s and Galeries Lafayette at The Dubai Mall. Other than offering about 30% to 50% discounts in a wide array of products – from fashion, beauty and lifestyle items – from the world’s high end labels, these shops also offer a chic shopping experience to its visitors.

Spotted roaming around Fashion Dome, carrying shopping bags from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada, were Russian tourists Dariane Avdeeva and Varava Alexander. Dariane said, “I am a shopaholic. I love bags, shoes, clothes. And, I adore the items from the high fashion brands. Here in Dubai, because of this shopping festival, I find a lot of things I like come with discounts. The shopping discounts here are the best. I can’t stop buying things – they’re so beautiful and affordable.”
