Oracle highlights its commitment to the Middle East region

• IT specialists and stakeholders from around the region met today in Dubai to learn about and discuss the latest developments and trends in cloud computing technology, during the “CloudWorld" event organized by Oracle.
• The event was attended by senior Oracle executives, customers, partners and industry thought leaders who shared views on how to drive business transformation using Oracle’s Cloud products and services.
• Dubai was selected to launch the global CloudWorld roadshow which will also be hosted in major cities around the world including Frankfurt London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Mumbai, New York City, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
• Participants were introduced to latest developments in Oracle Cloud technology and its benefits to business and public and private sector industries.
• Today, Oracle has over 10,000 customers and more than 25 millions users of the Oracle Cloud.

• Mark Hurd, President of Oracle, highlighted Oracle’s enthusiasm in providing latest technology in cloud computing. He discussed the trends driving Cloud and how the latest transformational technologies can be imperative to organizations, large and small, across any region or industry.

He pointed out that Oracle is five years ahead of its peers in the industry, as the company has spent years bringing the reliability, security and enterprise grade thinking to cloud. • He referred to the strong relationships Oracle has in the Middle East and its continuing investments in developing local expertise in the field of software engineering.
• The company has a number of education and skills development partnerships with government and private organizations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Egypt, as well as other countries in the region.
• He highlighted that there is high interest from government and private organizations in the region to invest in cloud computing, which will help them run smooth, safe and profitable operations.
