• Spellbinding "Dater, Fire & Light Show" Showcases Dubai At Its Best

Grand, majestic and incredibly unique are just a few words that can best describe the ongoing “Water, Fire & Light Show” happening at the Dubai Fountain in Burj Lake in Downtown Dubai. Already witnessed by millions of people since its debut last New Year’s Eve with the accompaniment of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the show continues to wow a growing number of DSF visitors with two daily shows at 8pm and 10pm to be held until February 4, 2013, in conjunction with festival organizers, the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment.

Projected on a mega-screen, 210 metres long, and water platforms with semi-transparent screens, the show opens with a fascinating multimedia presentation using the element of water accompanied by especially composed music and sound effects. Then the show progresses with another integral element of fire – leaving the crowds with a breathtaking sight of the Dubai Fountain and its backdrop, the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa.

Not to miss in the end is the visual grandeur of a mixture of bright and colorful palettes that almost marks the finish of this spectacular presentation as well as live performances by world-class talents. In all, 79 artists from around the world were involved in the production of the show, which was specially produced by the team behind the Beijing and London Olympics, and New Year celebrations in Sydney.

At the closing of “Water, Fire & Light Show”, a collage of images of flags and people honoring the grandeur of the city as well as the leaders of the UAE brings forth a sense of pride not only to its locals and residents but even to tourists . The finale has indeed summarized the true meaning of the show – it is a celebration of the cosmopolitan composition of Dubai where over 200 nationalities thrive together with great positive energy and a good sense of unity and camaraderie.

The “Water, Light & Fire Show” is followed by yet another magical show which is the Dubai Fountain performance. Indeed, entrancing and befitting, both shows reflect “Dubai at its Best”.

Russian couple, Gregory Akhnov and Anna Mikshevich, who are in Dubai on holiday, said: “We have seen this show twice already but we still get amazed at how beautiful it is. This whole area of Dubai comes to life with this show – this area of Downtown Dubai seems like the best place in the world to be in right now.”

Tourists from Islamabad – Rianna Farouk, Sara Farouk, Sandees Farouk and Farah Hafeez – also had a wonderful time watching the show. Farah said: “There is nothing like this that I’ve seen in my life. Dubai is a very beautiful city, but this show makes it more captivating than ever. This trip is truly a special memory that I will remember forever.”
