Social Studies Teacher Latest Winner Of Infiniti Mega Raffle
Just a couple of days after a 10-year old Indian student hit the lucky trail by winning the Infiniti Mega Raffle, an Indian school teacher has bagged the same incredible prize package at the on-going daily DSF Mega Raffles.
Preeja Arun, a social studies teacher at New Indian Model School in Sharjah, was the winner of the daily Infiniti Mega Raffle draw held on 7th January. However, Preeja’s prize of two luxurious Infiniti models, the JX35 and G25 plus AED 100,000 in cash will be shared by her husband and 10 other members of the staff of Our Own English High School, Sharjah as they had all contributed to buying the raffle ticket.
“We are all so happy, as we have been pooling our money this way for so many years during DSF and did not win. Our strong belief in winning one day has come true. I am not sure what the others plan to do but my husband and I are thinking of investing our share of the money in a property back home,” said Preeja, who hails from the South Indian state of Kerala.
She disclosed that the winning ticket was one of 10 such raffle tickets that they had bought this DSF in a joint effort to win big. The others who had pooled their money are all staff at Our Own English High School, Sharjah, where her husband is also employed.“We hope that we can get lucky with the remaining raffle tickets as well”, she said.
To be eligible for the daily Infiniti Mega Raffle draws, one has to purchase a raffle ticket for just AED 200 at selected EPPCO and ENOC petrol stations, kiosks at main streets, shopping malls and the Global Village.
Meanwhile, Pakistani businessman Johar Zaman won the Infiniti Mega Raffle on 8th January, and immediately made plans to expand his business in the UAE.
“I have been buying DSF raffle tickets every year and even though I did not win I knew that something good will come my way one day. I could not sleep properly after hearing the news. My wife and three sons are very happy to know that we will have two Infiniti cars. My mother in Pakistan is overjoyed and is praying for more success in my life, “said Zaman, a resident of Dubai for 20 years.
In the Nissan Grand Raffle held on the same day at Global Village, UAE national Dora Bu Aziz Alshaanabi was the lucky winner and gets the opportunity to choose one of 12 Nissan models - Micra Hatchback, Sunny Sedan, Maxima, Qashqai, Murano, Patrol, Juke, Altima, 370Z, Xterra, Pathfinder, or Armada – as the prize. Customers are entitled to a raffle coupon for every AED 20 spent on non-fuel purchases at ENOC and EPPCO petrol stations or for every AED 200 spent at participating retail outlets.
In the Gold Mega Raffle, Indian national Sumayya won a quarter kilo of gold offered at the daily draw by the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group. Under the DSF gold promotion, shoppers will receive coupons to enter the raffle draw on spending AED1,500 or more on gold purchases at any of the participating outlets across the city. Every day, a quarter kilo of gold is being given away to one winner, while a kilo of gold awaits one shopper every week.
Customers who are entitled to a raffle coupon can also participate in a unique SMS promotion to win specially minted “EXPO 2020 Dubai Candidate City” gold coins every hour between 10am – 11pm every day, totaling 2kg of gold during DSF 2013. Alongside the gold promotion, a scratch-and-win campaign is being launched offering shoppers purchasing AED 1,000 worth of diamond jewellery the chance to win fabulous prizes worth up to AED 2m.
