Mirdif City Centre Thrills Shoppers And Families This DSF

As the amazing activities and promotions in the ongoing 18th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival roll out, Mirdif City Centre, one of the flagship malls of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, a Strategic Partner of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, the organizers of DSF, remains a favorite amongst shoppers and families.

This gigantic shopping mall conveniently located at Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, with easy access through 12 entry and exit points at different levels of its 7,000 vehicle car park, has around 430 stores, unique leisure and entertainment attractions and a host of food outlets that delight the thousands of visitors to the mall during DSF.

Dubai-based Koreans, Semi Shin and Nara Yoon are regular shoppers at Mirdif City Centre. They love the shopping vibe at Mirdif City Centre because it has all the outlets of the brands they love, and these outlets have huge spaces in the mall. According to Semi: “Here at Mirdif City Centre, we find great deals from our favorite brands. The outlets here have huge shopping spaces, wonderful decorations and complete collections which make it a delight to shop. The DSF sales and promotions are a bonus to our shopping experience.”

Her friend Nara said: “This is a huge mall but we do not feel tired of roaming around. In each corner, we find a shop that we love. We also find lots of food outlets that make our trip totally enjoyable. Most of all, we find good discounts that make shopping really worth it – we save a lot during DSF!”

Not only do women find shopping at Mirdif City Centre a great experience, men also find themselves in the thick of the shopping spree at the mall this DSF. Faisal Hami, an Indian based in Dubai, said: “Every year, I look forward to shopping during DSF. The discounts and sales promotions are amazing. I don’t mind shopping this season because it does not break my wallet.”

More than the discounts, promotions, best brands, spacious shops and limitless food options, Mirdif City Centre also buzzes with lots of surprising family activities this DSF. From January 4-13, the shopping mall brings the popular UAE television show, Freej, for meet-and-greet sessions with its visitors. The characters of Freej will roam around the mall, providing special photo opportunities to the fans.

Indeed, the children visiting the mall with their families have found this offering so special that they took the opportunity straight away and posed with the Freej characters. Hind Al Muhairi from Dubai joyfully commented: “I love Freej. I always watch them on television. That’s why I am so excited to have this chance to be photographed with them. I will show this picture to all my friends, and I am sure they will get find it very exciting, too.”

On the other hand, siblings Mohammad and Aisha also enjoyed shaking hands and taking pictures with the Freej characters. They are fans of the show and the characters, as well, and they loved seeing them in real life. Mohammad explained: “I am a huge fan of Freej. I have lots of toys of the characters. I can’t believe I am seeing them here at Mirdif City Centre. This is really a wonderful opportunity.”

Whether they are fans or not, kids in general would love to meet colorful characters in costumes. Aynoah Samson, a Filipino child, did not know of Freej before the meet-and-greet but she grew fond of the characters instantly. Her mother said: “She does not know the show or the characters. But, when she saw them here at Mirdif City Centre, she suddenly found it exciting to meet the characters. She even posed for lots of pictures.”
