The Dubai Mall Abuzz With DSF Discounts And Entertainment

A world-class shopping experience is always guaranteed at The Dubai Mall, the flagship mall of Emaar Malls Group, a Strategic Partner of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, an agency of the Department of Economic Development and organizers of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

Kristy Kennedy and Joshua Abraham from the United Kingdom did put The Dubai Mall, a favourite among the tourists, on top of their must-visit list during their current vacation in Dubai. Kristy said: “We have a lot of friends already residing in Dubai, and they told us about visiting at this time of the year. They brag about their buys during DSF so we penciled in our schedule during this shopping festival. And, I must say that they were totally right. The discounts and promotions are fantastic. Here at The Dubai Mall, we found limitless options in terms of brands and great finds, and the greatest thing of all is that they are all on sale.”

Her friend Joshua added: “I can’t believe how the high end shops here in The Dubai Mall also give good promotions during DSF. The promotions are certainly brilliant during this shopping festival. I don’t think I’ve ever been into a shopping extravaganza like this one.”

The Dubai Mall is not only popular among tourists but has become a great place for families, and youngsters who come to the mall to chat over lunch or dinner in their favorite restaurant or see a movie. Moreover, they come to The Dubai Mall to check out the latest fashion trends in their favorite international brands.

Maheen Hasan, a Dubai-based Pakistani, said: “My friends and I love to come here for coffee. This season is amazing for al fresco dining, and the sight of Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa are magnificent from the restaurants here at The Dubai Mall.

She added: “We also often come here because it has multi brands options for us. We love fashion, and we keep up with the trends when we see the collections in stores here at The Dubai Mall. Also, we know that this DSF, we will find tons of good choices at very low prices. This is really the best time, and it is the best place to shop.”

Aside from the big shopping discounts, the mall is also abuzz with great entertainment suitable to all ages, nationalities – visiting or residents. The roaming stilt walkers in robotic costumes in The Dubai Mall have literally stopped the shoppers in their tracks, and thrilled them. Indeed, a treat to the mall guests this DSF, the entertaining feel has caused excitement and has even become a photo opportunity to the shoppers.

Amani Abucido, a Dubai-based Palestinian, was touring with her mother Charika Gayalina at The Dubai Mall when they saw the characters in costumes. They did not hesitate to miss the moment, and started posing for some pictures with the characters. Amani explained: “This does not happen all the time. It is only during DSF that we get this kind of festive entertainment. So, we have to grab the rare chance and capture it with photographs.”

And, of course, the kids enjoyed the sights of the space-age looking characters, and were also given the opportunity to meet and take photos with them. Mr. Khuffash, father of Omar, Farah and Mohammad, said that his sons were having a rollicking time at The Dubai Mall especially with experiencing The Dubai Aquarium and Kidzania. Most of all, when his children saw the roaming characters, they got very excited, too. He told, “It is fun to go out, and roam around the mall during DSF. It is during this period that we get surprises like this, and it is definitely something wonderful.”
