• DSF 2013 Strategic Partners And Key Sponsors Get An Insight Into ’Dubai At Its Best’ Marketing Communications Programme

    The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), an agency of the Department of Economic Development, and organizers of Dubai Shopping Festival met with public relations and marketing representatives of its Strategic Partners and Key Sponsors on 20 December, 2012 to discuss the media and marketing communications programme for DSF 2013 under the slogan “Dubai at its Best’.

    The meeting comes as part of the DEPE’s continuous efforts to work closely with its key stakeholders in the private sector to elevate the communication channels in order deliver the appropriate key messages to target audiences during DSF 2013, which will be held from 3rd January to 3rd February.

    Speaking at the meeting of senior public relations and marketing executives, Saeed Mohammad Mesam Al Falasi, Director, Strategic Alliance Division, DEPE, emphasized the significance of such cooperation between the government and the private sector, as Dubai pursues ways to further enhance its reputation as an international shopping, entertainment and leisure destination.

    Also present at the meeting were DEPE’s marketing and PR teams, led by Farhad Mohammed Ali Seddiq, Marketing & Communications Director, DEPE. Ali Seddiq and his team took the PR and marketing representatives through the media, advertising and PR plans based on the slogan “Dubai at its Best”.The meeting generated a constructive discussion and focused on how best to unify DSF’s key messages through various channels including modern means of communications such as the internet and social media.

    Moreover, Al Falasi thanked the Strategic Partners and Key Sponsors for their continued support to DEPE over the years, and said that the long-standing and whole-hearted support provided by them to the DEPE had been quite fruitful, and this is evident by the fact that Dubai was crowned as the ‘World Festival and Event City 2012’ by the International Festivals and Events Association, the world’s leading trade association for events.

    The DEPE’s aim for DSF 2013 is to build on past successes and present a newer and more exciting picture of Dubai, he said, and added that the slogan “Dubai at its Best” captured in a nutshell the essence of what all stakeholders should collectively strive to achieve in the festival and in their own marketing communications programmes for DSF 2013.

    Al Falasi stressed that the aim of the get-together was to pave the way for enhanced cooperation and coordination between DEPE and the public relations and marketing representatives of its Strategic Partners and Key Sponsors to ensure the best ever DSF by aligning all communications to the tag line “Dubai at its Best”.
