• DSF 2013 Introduces Information Kiosks To Guide Visitors

To help residents and visitors navigate the myriad offerings of the Dubai Shopping Festival this year, the festival organizers, Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), an agency of the Department of Economic Development, has introduced for the first time information desks and kiosks at various locations in the city.

With DSF 2013 being organized on an unprecedented scale to showcase the best of Dubai under the slogan ’Dubai at its Best’, the number of activities, events, promotions and other entertainment options that have been planned this year are nothing short of mind boggling. In order for people to extract the maximum fun out of this assortment of celebration and shopping, DSF 2013 will feature information stations at almost every important location in the city where activities related to the festival will be held.

There will be a total of 11 DSF information desks spread out all over the city, which is another testimony to the fact that the DEPE cares about visitors to the DSF and is eager to enable them enjoy the festivities to the fullest. The information stations will provide brochures on the strategic partners of the DEPE and the activities and events that they will be holding. Most importantly, the information desks and kiosks will distribute the official DSF guide, which contains details about all the events and activities that are taking place during the festival along with a detailed map of their locations and venues.

Out of the 11 information stations, a total of nine will be at outdoor locations with one each on the key venues of Al Riqqa Street, Al Seef Street, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) and Dubai Creek Park. Two other DSF destinations, Festival Promenade and Global Village, will have three and two information stations respectively. Meanwhile, The Dubai Mall and Dubai Festival City Mall – two of the most important malls for the festival – will each host an indoor stall for the throngs of people that are expected to visit them.

Commenting on the information stations, DEPE Media Centre, stated: “Just as Dubai is at its best during the DSF, we, too, always endeavour to give the best to our guests during this unique festival. With the biggest and best DSF being organized this year, we felt the need to introduce the information desks in order to take care of our guests better and guide them towards having an even more enjoyable experience. We are confident this new facility will enable our guests to participate in more activities and have the most memorable time possible.”
