Emirates Post Group Hosts "Green Art" Exhibition On Products Made From Recycled Materials
As part of the strategic plan, Emirates Post Holding Group launched a "Green Art" initiative to focus on recycled materials as part of an effort to address the issue of increasing environmental pollution as a result of the large amounts of waste we produce.
As part of the launch of the "Green Art" award, Sultan Al Midfa, CEO of Empost, opened in the presence of Humaid Saeed Al Marri, Director of Transportation in Dubai Municipality, an exhibition on products made from recycled automotive spare parts by the Transport Management Department of Dubai Municipality. The exhibits highlighted the transport management experience in using different parts of vehicles to make beautiful office furniture through innovative ideas.
Speaking on the occasion, Sultan Al Midfa said Emirates Post Group encourages community-based initiatives and also seek to adopt the best practices in the field of the environment. He announced that the " Green Art" award will recognize the best products made from recycled materials by the employees and their families.
He also added that this exhibition was in partnership with the Department of Transportation of the Dubai Municipality which has shown remarkable expertise in environmental conservation. He praised the Transport department of Dubai Municipality in recycling useless pieces of cars and reinvented them as works of art.
Al Midfa said the group would like to invite all the public and customers to visit the "Green Art" exhibition and benefit from the experience of transportation management department in recycling.
He also appealed to the staff of the Group Emirates Post and their families to join the Green Art competition and thus increases awareness about environmental protection. He announced that the competition will offer three cash prizes for the best products. The winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony and the selected entries will be displayed in the Group’s exhibitions.
Humaid Saeed Al Marri, Director of Transportation in Dubai Municipality praised Emirates Post Group for launching the "Green Art" award which reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to preserving the environment and the management of Transport in using spare parts of cars to make office furniture and other beautiful objects.
Humaid Al Marri also presented a lecture on his department’s experience in recycling automotive parts and praised the "Green Art" award and urged all employees to devote their energies to create environment-friendly art from discarded materials.
