• Dubai Pet Show To Return In 2013

    The Dubai Pet Show is to return for its 25th consecutive year, located once more at the Dubai Rugby Sevens arena. In order to ensure that all attendees at the 2013 event enjoy a memorable and safe experience, the show organisers have built on their existing partnership with Dubai Municipality, through a series of new policies and procedures for the event on Friday, February 8th 2013.

    These measures, now in place, include various means of crowd and pet control, such as the presence of Dubai Municipality veterinarians at all entry points, to ensure that Dubai s existing regulations for owning dogs are adhered to specifically the provision of all paperwork proof of vaccinations and registration details for Dubai residents dogs.

    Additional specifications are the implementation of leashes to be worn at all times, and that banned breeds are not permitted on site, in accordance with Dubai law.

    "Dubai Pet Show is one of the longest-standing and best-loved events in the UAE calendar, raising thousands of Dirhams for pet-related charities, helping to find loving homes for rescued animals, and increasing awareness about responsible pet ownership against a backdrop of competitions, exhibitions and performances. We received and took on board considerable feedback from the community after the 2012 event, and for the benefit of all attendees, have strengthened our existing rules and regulations to create a family-friendly, fun event which complies with Dubai s existing pet policies," said a spokesperson for the Dubai Pet Show.

    Additionally, the Dubai Municipality’s veterinarians and inspectors, alongside increased security personnel at the event, will ensure that all participants are adhering to these policies at the show entry points and throughout the day. These regulations, set forth with Dubai Municipality, are fundamental to ensuring an enjoyable day out for all.

    The Dubai Pet Show is the Middle East s biggest event for animal lovers and will offer various categories of competition, as well as fun and educational classes, complemented by saluki displays and demonstrations from the canine units of the UAE police force. Now in its 25th year, the non-profit Dubai Pet Show is an integral part of the Middle East calendar for the animal-loving public of all ages, as well as the dog-owning community and parents who wish to educate their children on how best to help look after a family pet.
