DTCM To Promote Dubai Attractions At WTM 119 Participants From Tourism Sector In The Emirate
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai (DTCM), is to participate in the 33rd edition of the World Travel Market (WTM 2012), slated to kick off in London, UK, from Nov5-8.
The top tourism exhibition in the world is to see the participation of a large group of 119 reps from tourism sector in the emirate over a specious pavilion stretching over an area of 630sqm.
Participants include the DTCM departments of Overseas Promotion and Inward Missions , Classification of Hotel Establishments, Dubai Convention Bureau, Cruise Tourism, Business Development, Public Relations, apart from Dubai Police, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai, and Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment.
The DTCM held an introductory meeting for participants at the Address Dubai Marina hotel in the presence of Saleh Al Jazeeri, Director of the Overseas Promotion and Inward Mission - DTCM, Abdullah Bin Suwaidan, Deputy Director of the Overseas Promotion and Inward Mission - DTCM, Naif Ibrahim, Head of Australia and Asia Section at the Overseas Promotion and Inward Mission - DTCM, as well as reps of other participants.
Paying a tribute to participants in the WTM, Al Jazeeri explained the DTCM effort, through its bureau in London, to ensure success of the event.
"Partners are always keen on participating in all the DTCM events and workshops across the world to attract more tourists to the emirate."
He added that DTCM participates every year in this event because it is one of the most important events in the world .
The number of the hotel guests from UK during the first 9 month of this year amounted 489.884
Bin Suwaidan then gave a presentation on the World Travel Market and DTCM Pavilion. The floor was then opened for addressing participants’ queries.
