• Emirates Islamic Bank And Sharjah Directorate Of Housing Showcase Strategic Partnership At Sharjah International Housing Exhibition

    Presenting partnership which provides profit-free home finance to UAE nationals for homes

    Emirates Islamic Bank, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, announced today that, in partnership with the Sharjah – Directorate of Housing, it would be showcasing its market leading home finance products at the Sharjah International Exhibition for Housing, Building Materials and Decoration. The exhibition will run from 20th March until 23rd March 2013, during which time Emirates Islamic Bank and Sharjah – Directorate of Housing will be briefing customers on the details of its joint program for Housing finance for UAE Nationals

    The strategic partnership was launched in September 2011. The product was designed to support the innovative public housing programme, which was the first public private partnership with an aim to provide affordable housing options for the UAE national customer in the emirate of Sharjah.

    Speaking at the exhibition, Mr Faisal Aqil, Deputy CEO of Emirates Islamic Bank said: “It is every UAE national’s dream to construct their own house. We have been fully supportive of the Sharjah- Directorate of Housing’s programme and, through this strategic partnership we have made it possible for 1, 200 nationals to fulfil this dream.”

    Mr. Aqil went on: “Emirates Islamic Bank is committed to enhancing the welfare of UAE nationals through the provision of products such as that created by a partnership with Sharjah – Directorate of Housing. We recognise that one of the important challenges faced by many is the need to secure decent housing and have put in place a number of initiatives designed to assist in this task.”

    The Sharjah International Exhibition for Housing, Building Materials and Decoration is expected to be the UAE’s leading event for the housing construction and decoration sector. It brings together a wide range of suppliers and key stakeholders, all committed to developing the important residential sector in the region. UAE nationals are expected to comprise the majority of attendees as building homes is an important aspect for them.

    Mr. Farid Al Mulla, Head of Home Finance at Emirates Islamic Bank said: “Our important strategic partnership with Sharjah – Directorate of Housing requires an appropriate platform from which to remind nationals of the finance facilities we have put in place.
