• First Gulf Properties Celebrates Earth Hour 2013 In The Hills Villas

    The company calls all communities under its management to participate in this initiative

    In line with its commitment to support environmental efforts and to aid in the preservation of the UAE’s natural resources, First Gulf Properties (FGP), real estate service provider specialising in end-to-end property solutions, is set to join hundreds of millions across the world in celebrating Earth Hour 2013 in the Hills Villas, which falls under its management.

    Falling on n Saturday, 23 March 2013, FGP will be encouraging residents at The Hills to switch of their lights and electrical appliances between the hours of 8.30 and 9.30 pm. In celebration of the world’s largest voluntary action for the environment, FGP will present its support for the cause through showcasing a number of shows for residents meant to encourage eco-friendly practices.

    Commenting on this initiative, Jasim Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of FGP, said: “Our participation in Earth hour 2013 reflects our belief in actively contributing towards the preservation of our planet. There is no doubt that the world is facing some critical environmental challenges which sets the Earth Hour initiative as an important global call to action for every individual, business and community to take a stand in protecting the environment. Moreover, our initiative in the Hills Villas coincides with our call for our employees and tenants to participate in this environmental event and switch off their lights on this eco-friendly day.”

    The Hills event programme will include a live Capoeira performance, led by Mestre Caxias, which is a unique sport that blends attack and defense moves through flowing dance. Furthermore, a Football Free Style show by Ammar Al Khadiray, professional freestyle football player, will be presented in a candlelit set up.

    On the sidelines of this initiative, FGP distributed circulars to encourage tenants as well as staff to participate and join this global phenomenon which is set to take place across seven continents and in more than 4,000 cities and towns worldwide.

    Earth Hour is a globally celebrated event organized by Emirates Wildlife Society in cooperation with the World Wide Fund for Nature EWS-WWF and aims to stop the degradation of the earth’s natural environments. Therefore, FGP urges company’s employees, residents and occupants under its management to participate in one of the largest environmental initiatives to save the planet.
