ADISE 2013 Brings Together International Sports Deals, Activities And Shows

Exhibition encompasses area over 15000 sq. metres, over 50 sports teams, 15 UAE Sports Federations

The Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition (ADISE 2013) is set to launch its second edition which represents one of the biggest sports events in the UAE. The event will encompass an area of 5000 sq metres within the exhibition area which amounts a total of 15,000 sq metres and includes various indoor and outdoor sport activities.

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is organising ADISE 2013 for the second consecutive year with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. It will be held during the period from 9th to 12th of April at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in halls 10 and 11.

Moreover, a large number of players and sports teams will be participating in ADISE 2013. In fact, the remarkable Christophe Hamel and his team will be presenting an extreme show on the trampoline along with the Crazy Dunkers who will be performing an acrobatic show of basketball. The exhibition will also include the participation of free style football champions as well as BMX games which will extend over the four day event.

ADISE’s committee has dedicated an area of approximately 5000 sq metres that will include several sports activities such as bungee jumping, wall climbing, zip lining, mountain bike track, paddle tennis, cricket, golf, skateboarding and street ball tournaments with more than 70 teams expected to compete.

Commenting on the exciting sport activities offered during the second edition of ADISE, Abdulmunam Alhashemi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said: “ ADISE gained the support and commitment of various public and private institutions and bodies, which helped in strengthening its position as one of the biggest sports shows in the UAE. Hence, I would like to express my special thanks, on the behalf of ADISE 2013, to Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority as well as all institutions, bodies, partners and sponsors that have offered their support and help.”

Alhashemi added: “ADISE 2013 offers exclusive sports activities and shows that will take place in the indoor and outdoor areas of the exhibition and that encompass approximately one-third of the total space. We are also expecting a large number of participants and institutions to take part in these activities. In addition, this event will represent a platform for local and international brands to showcase their latest products, equipments and services for professionals and individuals from all over the Middle East and the world in a dynamic environment; enabling the finalisations of deals and agreements between institutions and organizations speciliased in sports at the local, regional and international levels.”

It is worthy to mention that the exhibition this year will witness the participation of more than 15 sports organization, authorities and federations, such as the UAE National Olympic Committee, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Dubai Sports Council, UAE Basketball Federation, UAE Disabled Federation, UAE Fencing Federation, Emirates Golf Federation, UAE Athletic Federation and many more. ADISE’s programme also includes different categories ranging from motor sports, water sports, outdoor and adventure sports, sports cars, Health and Fitness along with additional sports activities.
