• Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition "ADISE 2013" Kicks Off On April 9

    Event held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces

    Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi International Sport Exhibition (ADISE 2013), which represents one of the biggest sports show in the region starting April 9th. This event is held in collaboration with Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu- Jitsu Championship.

    With the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ADISE will be held at the state of art Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in halls 10 & 11 for four consecutive days until April 12th. Visitors and exhibitors are welcome from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm during those four days.

    Major international and local sports exhibitors will be taking part in the second edition of ADISE. These include sports federations, clubs, government departments, sports equipment manufacturers, sponsors, event organisers, sports marketing agencies in different domains such as motorsports, water sports, outdoor and adventure sports, fitness and indoor sports, in addition to sports products and equipment outlets.

    This event will represent a platform for local and international brands to showcase their latest sports products, equipment and services for professionals and individuals from all over the Middle East and the world in a dynamic environment. In addition, ADISE will offer the perfect platform to hold meetings, and to finalize deals and agreements between institutions and organizations specialized in sports at the local, regional and international levels.

    ADISE will include a large number of shows and activities that will contribute to the promotion of a sports culture within the local community. On the sidelines of this event, a number of specialized sports workshops organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council will be showcasing international key speakers who will discuss the future development of sports in the region. Moreover, an informative program of shows and activities will take place during the four days of the exhibition, which encompasses an area of 15,000 square meters. 

    HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmood, Vice President of the General Authority for Youth and Sports and General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that the Council chaired by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, places great importance on supporting sporting events in Abu Dhabi, and stated: "The Council will utilize all its efforts to guarantee the success of Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition specially after the great success of the event last year, since the exhibition bears the name of our beloved capital that looks forward to defining its role and mission on the world sports map”.

    HE Al Mahmood explained how the exhibition is a great opportunity to promote a sports culture, stressing that the exhibition is one of the biggest sporting events in the region. HE also highlighted the opportunities provided by the exhibition for local and international exhibitors to showcase their products in front of professionals and individuals from across the Middle East and the world.

    "The Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition targets everything and everyone that are related to sports from the most prominent sports clubs in UAE as well as sports equipment, medical and health consultations that allow everyone to access the latest technologies in the world of sports. The exhibition also promotes the exchange of expertise on the latest global practices and applications in the field of Sports. In addition, it represents an important opportunity to highlight the sports clubs in the UAE with the latest developments and trends in the sports industry and to engage them on a local and international levels,” HE Al Mahmoud added.

    HE pointed out that due to the UAE’s wise leadership, this exhibition reinforces other events where it has become a successful hallmark of significant global participation and presence. HE also added that this exhibition is a reflection of the outstanding directives and the role of the UAE’s leaders at an international level in addition to its continuous effort to place Abu Dhabi as a capital of international sports.

    HE AL Mahmood called on all institutions, associations and sports clubs in the UAE to participate in the second edition of ADISE in order to enrich the event and experience the most prominent developments and changes in the world of sports, which in turn plays an important role in highlighting the paradigm shift witnessed by the UAE in all sports activities. He also pointed out that this exhibition is being held in Abu Dhabi for the second time in a row making it an important global forum for the sports makers. Moreover, this event is the first of its kind at a regional level, thus providing a suitable environment to make deals and agreements and to meet prospective partners and distributors in the UAE which in turn will strengthen the UAE’s position as a global sporting destination.

    Commenting on the event, Nada Khamees, from the UAE Jui-Jitsu Federation committee and ADISE Manager said: “In line with the support and guidance of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, ADISE was able to help in boosting the UAE’s position on a global scale. The event will bring together the most important international and local sports brands, which in turn will create the appropriate environment for business and sports deals. In addition, visitors from individuals to companies will benefit from this exhibition by discovering a wide variety of land, sea and air sports products.

    It is noteworthy to mention that ADISE will be held prior to the opening of Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship during 10 to 13 April 2013.
