High Calibre Team Of Industry Professionals To Craft Unique Experiences At Rosewood Abu Dhabi

Rosewood Abu Dhabi, the ultra-luxury 5-star hotel on the waterfront at Sowwah Square, which is set to open its doors on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi in May 2013, is assuring success with an innovative and diverse executive team at its helm.

The executive management team, which includes Luigi Romaniello - Managing Director, Jacques Oudinot - Hotel Manager, Roddy Gordon - Director of Marketing, Wolfgang Eberle - Executive Chef, Thomas Gebler- Director of Food & Beverage, Annie Monnier - Director of Rooms, Viraj Patil - Director of Engineering and Maria Elkaer - Director of Human Resources, will be charged with bringing a fresh perspective to luxury hospitality in Abu Dhabi.

As seasoned professionals, with a range of international experiences in the hospitality sector, the executive management team brings an array of impressive expertise and best-practice methods in luxury hospitality leadership. Moreover, all members of the international team have been carefully selected to culminate together, forging a group with innovative personalities, strong leadership and vast industry knowledge.

Mr. Romaniello oversees all elements of Rosewood Abu Dhabi from staff recruitment and guest service to the property’s range of signature restaurants and Sense, a Rosewood Spa®. A seasoned hotelier, with more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Romaniello has served in top positions at some of the world’s finest and most luxurious hotels and brings this wealth of experience to Abu Dhabi.

As the Director of Human Resources, Maria Elkaer will be responsible for implementing programs in training, development and recruitment at Rosewood’s flagship luxury hotel in the UAE

Responsible for the culinary journeys undertaken in Rosewood, Executive Chef Wolfgang Eberle recently transferred to Rosewood Abu Dhabi from Rosewood’s sister property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al Faisaliah. Prior to joining Rosewood International Group, Mr. Eberle gathered experience and expertise from working in Switzerland, United States, Philippines, China, India, Sri Lanka and Canada which will be reflected in the gastronomic experiences guests are treated to.

In addition to Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi, Sowwah Square, the heart of Abu Dhabi’s new Central Business District (CBD), is comprised of four Grade ‘A’ commercial towers, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and The Galleria at Sowwah Square, a luxury fashion and dining district connecting the entire mixed-use development to the waterfront.
