The Emirate Of Abu Dhabi Becomes First To Have JCI Accredited Long-Term Care Facility Outside Of USA
ProVita, the region’s first long-term care provider, continues to spearhead quality standards
Abu Dhabi based ProVita International Medical Center has been awarded Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) making it the only facility for the long-term care of ventilated patients to be awarded JCIA outside of the US.
ProVita was successful in meeting the international healthcare quality standards for patient care and organisation management in a long-term care environment.
JCIA standards for long term care address quality improvement issues for non-acute settings, such as assisted-living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and chronic care facilities. Complete assessments include resident care and rights, medication management, resident and family education, infection prevention, and a variety of other performance-related topics.
