Mega Mall To Host Exhibition By Artist And Oud Impresario Ayham Hammad

Mega Mall - Sharjah’s premier family shopping centre - will be hosting ’Familiar Faces’, an art exhibition featuring a selection of works by artist and oud impresario Ayham Hammad at the Water Court at Mega Mall from the 17th to the 23rd of February.

Speaking about the exhibition, Saeed bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Vice-president of Mega Mall said, "One of the main functions of the Exhibition at Mega Mall is to provide a platform for talented young artists from the Sharjah, the UAE, and the region to showcase their work. Sharjah and the Emirates abound with artistic and creative potential and as a major contributor to the development of the Emirate and the region in general it is both our duty and privilege to encourage and foster our artists. We are extremely proud to be able to present this exhibition by Ayham Hammad, who is an excellent example of the region’s burgeoning art scene and look forward to welcoming many more up and coming artists to Mega Mall."

Mr Saeed went on to say that showcasing young artistic talents, such as Ayham Hammad, forms part of Mega Mall’s overall commitment to contributing to the growth of Sharjah on all fronts, including social, economical, and cultural development.

Born in Baalbeck, Lebanon in 1983, Ayham Hammad’s work focuses on an exploration of the multifaceted nature of identity within themes such as alienation, home sickness, motherhood greatness, childhood innocence, life tunes and harmony. Using bold brush strokes and intricate colour interaction, Ayham Hammad’s paintings give a unique glimpse into the lives of the people of the region, beckoning the observer to look beyond the surface and see the irreplaceable individuality of each of his subjects.
