du World Music festival concerts will be held this year in Abu Dhabi and Dubai between 22 March and 6 April. The line-up promises fantastic nights of music played across the emirates, to include some of the greatest musical talents from the Arab world and around the globe, covering numerous genres to provide something that pleases everyone.

Andrea Bocelli made his first appearance in the Capital in 2009, on the lawns of Emirates Palace, performing in front of thousands of devoted classical music fans. This year, the du Arena will be transformed into a fully seated open-air concert hall to create a more intimate experience for the audience.
Since his last visit to the UAE, the iconic music figure has released a new album “Passione” which is in essence the second volume of “Amore”. Released in 2012, “Passione” includes many of his timeless classics and masterpieces such as “Love Me Tender,” “Girl from Ipanema,” and “Sarà Settembre,” (better known to English-speaking audiences as Neil Diamond’s “September Morn”).
Opera, however, represents just one part of his musical persona. He has been equally successful as a pop ballad singer, having recorded duets with Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman and Eros Ramazzotti. Al Jarreau, who sang with Bocelli during ‘The Night of Proms’ in November 1995, praised Bocelli when he said: "I have had the honour to sing with the most beautiful voice in the world."
More recently, Andrea Bocelli collaborated with Latin-American superstar Jennifer Lopez who features on the new album in the soft and sensual track “Quizás Quizás Quizás” while Nelly Furtado joins Bocelli on “Corcovado.”
Where ever he performs, whether it’s in New York or London, the tenor with the exciting contemporary voice, continues to receive rave reviews.
The New York Times said recently: “Mr. Bocelli sang with feeling and generous phrasing, the opening a cappella lines were haloed with a gentle echo. As the orchestra and, eventually, chorus joined in, Mr. Bocelli’s microphone was gradually cranked up, allowing his voice to soar through the arena like that of a latter-day technologically crafty angel.”
