With The Presence Of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qassimi Sharjah Ladies Club Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary Under The Slogan "A Promise Well Kept"

Under the celebrations of Sharjah Ladies club 30th anniversary, the Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and Sharjah Ladies Club, assured the continuation of the club’s march of excellence in being a women’s only pioneer in this field, and the development in services and facilities constantly to offer the best for women.

This statement was made in an evening filled with celebrations and appreciation for achievements inaugurated by Her Highness, with the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qassimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Vice Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, along with Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Minister for Foreign Trade. Her Excellency Mariam Khalfan Al Roumi Minister of Social Affairs, and other socialite ladies, directors, and managers of various departments of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and SLC.

Souad Al Marri, Media and Advertising Manager at SLC welcomed the attendees and started the ceremony retrieving the club’s memories of achievements over the past 30 years, as being the first women’s institution, which is aimed to provide a safe environment for women and children. The club has provided the best services through developed and fully equipped facilities with the latest devices and technologies. As a result, the club became a perfect icon in comparison to the rest of women institutes, not only in Sharjah but also through the UAE. Therefore, all the credit goes to HH Sheikha Jawaher Al Qassimi’s vision and insistence in proving a one stop shot safe haven for women and children to practice all their hobbies. Afterwards, HH was invited upon stage to give her speech.

On this occasion, Her Highness Sehikha Jawaher said “Today, the club reaps results of the past years under the leadership and participation of leading cadres worked its best in its early steps. Passing on the tasks of achieving goals to newer generations from the past generations to build a strong organization, aims to raise awareness among newer generations to continue to lead this social, cultural, and sports excellence. Since younger generations have a distinct and special touches, this attracted greater attention to the club, and gave women the serenity and sense of security in practicing their hobbies or work safely and freely. In addition enriching creations in everything that is new, influential and affective, due to that the club has accomplished many achievements, raising the name of Sharjah in exceeding excellence and success”.

The ceremony started a sand animation show performed by artist Shaima Al Mughairi, one of the contestants of Arabs Got Talent that passed through the club’s steps of achievements during the 30 years. Using her talent with sand reflecting the club’s developments over the years, this dazzled the audience.

“A promise well kept… is not just a slogan celebrating SLC’s 30th anniversary, but it is an affirmation of moving forward with Her Highness Sehikha Jawaher Al Qassimi’s vision, and completing the footsteps initiated by women leaders which contributed in the club’s march since it was initiated till the meantime. We are proud to be the first women only institute serving women’s needs in a one stop shop, forming a generation of women contributing in the success in sports on a global and Middle Eastern level. Moreover, the club has reaped several awards on the level of services it provides”, said Khawla Al Serkal, Director of Sharjah Ladies Club.

Following that, a documentary about individuals who were affected by the club was presented to the audience, showing the outcome of the club through their social life, careers and also personalities which helped them in achieving success and creating their dreams into reality.

The ceremony also included a number of entertainments, starting the event with a flower glowing performance using laser illuminations on soft music. This added a new dimension to the evening and won the admiration of the audience. Moreover, the show also included a floating dance performance which added a fantasia factor to the evening through dances impressed the audience including magical touches to the place.

The ceremony was concluded with the butterfly dance performance which reflected a festive atmosphere to the evening, forming memorable times on the audience. Following the show, the invitees enjoyed dinner while listening to soft harp melodies.

It is worthy to mention that the SLC 30th Anniversary event was sponsored by Crescent Petroleum and witnessed around 400 invitees of VIPs and socialite ladies.
