• RTA Announces Services Timing During Israa (Ascension) Holiday

    The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced the service timings to be observed in customer service centers, paid parking zones, public bus stations, Dubai Metro, marine transit means, driving institutes, and vehicles testing & licensing centers during the holiday of Israa & Miraaj (Ascension of the Prophet - MPBUH).

    Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication, said: "All customer service centers will be closed during the Israa (Ascension) holiday; which falls on Sunday 17 June, and will resume duty on Monday 18 June. Paid parking zones in the Emirate of Dubai will be available free of charge on Sunday, except for the parking lot of Deira Fish Market, and the multi-level car parks.

    The Dubai Metro stations will receive passengers during the said holiday as usual on week days i.e. from 05:50 am up to 12:00 pm (midnight). The service timing of public buses (Dubai Bus) will be as follows: Public bus stations (including main stations such as Gold Souk, Al Ghubaiba 1 & 2): from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm. Subsidiary bus stations (such as Satwa, Al Qusais, Al Qouz Industrial) will be open from 06:00 am to 12:00 pm (midnight), and Jebel Ali Bus Station will open from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm.

    Bus feeder service for the Metro Stations at Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta and Burj Khalifa will offer service from 06:00 am to 12:00 pm (midnight) throughout the week, while in Abu Hail and Etisalat Stations the service will be available from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm. Inter-city bus service will be offered as follows: Main stations (such as Al Ghubaiba) will be operational 24 hours daily, and external stations (such as Meydan and Sabkha) will offer service from 06:00 am to 12:00 pm (midnight), whereas in City Center and Karama Stations buses will start service from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm.

    Metro Feeder Bus Stations at Sharjah, Bur Dubai will be operating round-the-clock; Sharjah, Deira, Abu Dhabi will start operation from 06:00 am and continue to 12:00 pm (midnight), Hatta Station will offer service from 05:50 am to 09:30 pm, and Al Fujairah, Ajman routes will start service at 06:00 am and continue up to 10:00 pm.

    In a related development, Al Busmait touched on the working hours of the marine transit modes which will remain operational throughout the week as follows: Water Bus from 07:00 am to 10:00 pm, Water Taxi from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Ferry Dubai from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm.

    "Driving institutes, such as Emirates Institute, Belhasa Center, Al Ahli Center, Dubai Center, and Galadari Center will be closed during the holiday, and resume duty on Monday 18 June, however, the timing of registration offices located in the shopping centers will be geared to the working hours of those centers.

    "Centers offering vehicles testing & registration services will operate alternatively; where Wasil & Mumayyaz Vehicles Testing Centers will be off duty on Saturday 16 July and resume duty on Sunday, meanwhile Al Shamil, ENOC, and Al Ghandi Tamam Vehicles Testing Centers will be closed on Sunday 17 June and resume duty on Monday 18 June.

    "Fixing the timing of customer services is part of RTA strategy aimed at delivering best-in-class services to the public and various community members at the highest global standards of the industry in order to serve customer needs during the Israa holiday.
