Miraj Islamic Art Gallery
With hardly any Islamic art galleries in the country to complete with, this gallery has a monopoly over Islamic art genre. Borne out of the idea that Dubai needs more than just high-rise buildings and malls to impress its cultured visitors, Miraj exhibits artworks from around the Islamic world. Antique carpets from Iran and paisley pashminas from the 18th centuty are displayed alongside jewel-encrusted dressed from india and engraved brass from Turkey. The gallery’s collection is impressive and it’s a must-visit for any visitor interested in islamic art.
