Outspoken: Women Writers of the Middle East
In Conjunction with the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair This panel will begin with a presentation of the Feminist Press, its history, goals, current mission and publications, emphasizing the importance of a feminist press as a resource for writers and North American readers to discover more about women’s lives in the region. A discussion will follow on writing about the Middle East, both in fiction and non-fiction, on the role of women in the region and on the current situation in Iraq.
