Light Art DXB
Watch Burj Park Plaza glow under a kaleidoscope of lights as six dynamic sculptures take residence at the scenic venue for five weeks starting 7 January. The installations will manipulate light in a breathtaking showcase titled Light Art DXB using delicate design and reflections to inspire audiences.
The dynamic installation is the brainchild of George Tellos, a Frankfurt and Athens-based lighting designer, and John Jossifakis, the technical mind behind the project. The figures marry movement and light to create a visual story that compliments its host venue and employs Jossifakis’ refined technical knowhow to highlight the towering icon in the background–Burj Khalifa.
Light Art DXB is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai. The reflections and interactive dynamics between the six sculptures exemplify how colours can transform our daily lives and Dubai as a city. The project is commissioned by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and is on display at Burj Park Plaza until 13 February.
