“The celebrations leading up to and surrounding the United Arab Emirates National Day truly demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and loyalty of the people to the nation’s wise leadership. The UAE has made incredible progress over the past 41 years and the development of a world renowned information and technology sector is certainly a noteworthy achievement. With the birth of TRA and the unwavering support of the leadership, state-of-the-art technology has been developed and harnessed to meet the specific needs of our nation.” said HE Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of TRA.
TRA hosted a series of activities throughout the celebratory weekend including performances from ceremonial folk groups and a staff competition to produce the best images reflecting this year’s theme of "Vision Union in the eyes of our children." In line with its social responsibility strategy, TRA partnered with the Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment (SFSE) and held an exhibition selling a wide range of handicrafts. All proceeds of which went support the fantastic work done with the nation’s orphans.
HE Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of TRA and all employees participated in the planting of the "Union Tree" in response to the initiative from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
