Russian Seasons of the XXI Century
Following its huge success in Paris at Theatre des Champs-Elysees and in London at London Coliseum, as well as in all major cities in Russia, Byelorussia and Ukraine, the Diaghilev Festival is set for an exhilarating performance in Abu Dhabi at the Emirates Palace Auditorium on 22nd September 2011. Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan,Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and presented by MARIS LIEPA CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, Embassy of Russian Federation and Gazprom, Pearl Revival Committee and Olympic City , the Diaghilev festival/Ballet Russes will be performing for the first time in the UAE where they will present two masterpieces of Diaghilev’s repertoire - Chopiniana by Frederic Chopin and Polovets Dances by Alexander Borodin.
